Geology

The Teviot East and Nevis River Projects are situated on interpreted major deep tapping splay structures within the orogenic gold bearing Otago Schist, host to the 8Moz Macraes deposit.

TinOne Resources Inc. NZ has reprocessed available geophysical data sets to define the structural splays that had not previously been recognised. This regional zone of structural weakness is an ideal location for orogenic gold deposition of a style similar to the regional structurally controlled Macraes gold deposit.

The Glenore project represents a “deep lead” paleochannel alluvial gold deposit where the gold mineralisation is concentrated in the sediment of old alluvial channels immediately above the contact with basement rocks.

Historic Production and Exploration

There has been no systematic exploration of the project areas for a hard rock gold source using modern exploration techniques.

A number of historical placer gold deposits within raised alluvial terraces are found within the project areas and the Nevis River application has two historical hard rock workings within the interpreted structural zone.

The Glenore area was subject to extensive gold dredging activities in the early 20th Century. During the 1990s extensive drilling was done downstream of the major historic alluvial workings, within the Gondwana Metals application area. This drilling confirmed the existence of the gold-bearing paleo-channel from a depth of 27 to 41 metres within a 40 to 50 metre wide paleochannel.

TinOne Resources Inc. Gold Exploration

The project areas are under application and no work has been undertaken.

Exploration Plans

In the Teviot East and Nevis River projects TinOne Resources Inc. plans to undertake a systematic evaluation of the areas to evaluate the potential of the splay structures to economic gold mineralisation including:

  • Detailed reprocessing of airborne electromagnetic “EM” data over the area of interest
  • Ground truthing high priority areas including ultra-trace soil sampling and geological mapping
  • Detailed geophysical exploration may be undertaken if warranted
  • Favourable targets defined by this work will be drill tested In the Glenore project area TinOne Resources Inc. plans to evaluate the most efficient manner to add value though additional exploration or other strategic options.
